Proposed Big Box Retail Shopping Centre.

RSS Feed

With the impending release of land for the construction of a proposed Power Centre, located North of TaigaNova Industrial Business Park, off Highway 63, the Planning and Development Department at the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) is developing an Area Structure Plan (ASP).  Stakeholders, Developers and the community at large are invited to attend an engagement that will focus on key issues and opportunities associated with the development of this site as a regional destination shopping centre.

The discussion will factor greatly into the Municipality’s planning process to ensure that the potential development of this site coincides with our greater community vision as well as strikes a balance with the realities and challenges associated with development of this nature in our region.  In order to have the best chance of creating a plan that is realistic and responsive to our community’s needs, it is critical that we hear from those stakeholders who can best encapsulate community needs along with development realities.
